It can’t be easy for many of them; as they say, they leave the military with emotional scars they may carry with them for a lifetime. Known as “the war to end all wars,” Veterans Day falls on Nov. 11 because it was the day of an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, between the Allied nations and Germany.
