An interview LeBron James conducted with Barack Obama over this past weekend is scheduled to air just ahead of Election Day on Nov. 3.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s interview of the former president will premiere Friday on Uninterrupted and HBO’s “The Shop.”
Uninterrupted promoted the upcoming interview on Twitter, as did Obama.

In Miami this weekend, I dropped by The Shop to talk with @KingJames and @MavCarter about the NBA bubble, the racial justice movement, and what's at stake over these next seven days.

Do not give up your power. Make a plan to vote: https://t.co/7zfJnABzx1 pic.twitter.com/2Gjf5L9avl
More Than A Vote, which Obama mentions in his tweet, is a voting rights organization formed by James and several other high-profile Black athletes earlier this year.
Interestingly enough, James — who is a longtime friend of Obama — is also currently partnering with former First Lady Michelle Obama on a voting rights initiative.
James pledged to campaign for the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris ticket in August, so his interview with Obama — not to mention their joint message when it comes to people exercising their right to vote — hardly comes a surprise.
Further reinforcing where James stands in the upcoming election, LeBron has feuded with Trump throughout his presidency, and the Lakers star even clowned the president during last week’s debate.
The episode of “The Shop” that features the James-Obama interview will premiere Friday on HBO at 9:30 p.m. ET.
