Florida State-Virginia postponed following positive COVID-19 tests

Football games are being postponed across the country due to COVID-19, and not just in the NFL.

Ohio State's matchup against Illinois was canceled due to coronavirus issues within the Buckeyes, and now Florida State and Virginia won't play on Saturday for the same reason. According to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports, the ACC released a statement saying that FSU-UVA has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues with the Seminoles.

This is the second week in a row that Florida State has had its matchup called off on game day due to COVID-19. The Seminoles were supposed to play Clemson last week, but that game was called off due to coronavirus problems with the Tigers.

It's unclear when or if Florida State and Virginia will play each other this season. The Cavaliers are scheduled to take on Boston College next week and Virginia Tech on Dec. 12. Florida State, meanwhile, is set to take on Duke next week with no game scheduled for the week after.

Virginia is 4-4 on the season, while the Seminoles are 2-6. Both are toward the bottom of the ACC standings with Notre Dame and Clemson leading the way up top.
