The Cleveland Browns will be starting third-string quarterback Nick Mullens on Monday against the Las Vegas Raiders after Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum failed to test out of the COVID/reserve list.
#Browns QBs Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum didn’t test out of COVID protocols, so it’ll be Nick Mullens starting today against the #Raiders, per sources.

Mayfield and Keenum are just two of the players unavailable for the Browns on Monday, as nearly half of the roster is still sidelined due to COVID protocols.
Only player the Browns officially activated from reserve/COVID-19 today was S John Johnson I.

They did not activate either QB Baker Mayfield nor Case Keenum from the list, leaving QB Nick Mullens in line to start today vs. the Las Vegas Raiders. pic.twitter.com/IV1fQdyPeJ
There is a little bit of hope for Cleveland, however. Mullens has one game against the Raiders under his belt and, in said game, he gave the Silver and Black a run for their money.

Mullens, then with the #49ers, completed 16 of 22 for 262 yards, three TDs and a 151.9 passer rating against the Raiders in his NFL debut in 2018. https://t.co/7W6FJV9klV
Monday's game, rescheduled from Saturday because of the COVID outbreak in Cleveland, is still set to kick off at 5:00 p.m. ET.
