Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier dashed through the snow against the Chicago Bears.
With 14 minutes remaining in the second quarter, Falcons quarterback Taylor Heinicke connected with the second-year RB on a short pass. He turned it into a 75-yard TD, cutting the deficit to 14-7. The former fifth-round pick out of BYU has two touches for 80 yards through two quarters.

When the Falcons selected RB Bijan Robinson with the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, it appeared they were preparing to reduce Allgeier's role. He's been productive, though. In 15 games, he's rushed for 646 yards on 175 carries and four TDs.
The Falcons (7-8) need more big plays from their offense to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The New York Times simulator notes Atlanta only has a 13 percent chance to make the postseason for the first time since 2017. It will fall to nine percent if they lose to the Bears (6-9).
