Republicans are proving to be such a bunch of suckers, and Donald Trump never had it so good. For decades, Trump personally profited through corrupt and potentially illegal business practices that are now the subject of multiple probes in New York state. The Republican Party has reportedly agreed to help defend Trump against those probes, paying as much as $1.6 million in legal fees, according to The Washington Post. Campaign finance filings show the Republican National Committee already shelled out $121,670 in October, and a party official told the Post the party had coughed up another $578,000 in attorney fees in November. The truth is, no one knows exactly where the GOP largesse will end.
