The brutality at the hands of U.S. border agents is again on full display. A Mexican woman who was left with lifelong injuries after being shot in the head by a Border Patrol agent has filed a claim against the United States, the Associated Press (AP) reports. “I want to know why, why did they do that and why me?” 37-year-old Marisol García Alcántara said in the report. The injury by the still unnamed agent has resulted in continued disorientation. Because she still has bullet fragments in her brain, she’s at risk of seizures. “I am looking for justice,” she said. “I want an apology from that person and help for medical care and medicine because I can’t work.” Read more
